Chongqing-the
Three gorges-Shanshi

Arrangement of the journey
D1:The
tour boat sets out from the Chongqing Harbor at
9:00 a.m. A before-journey meeting on the whole
journey will be held, and the guide on boat will
introduce the coming sight along the Yangtse River,
facilities on boat which tourist should be familiar
with, and the arrangement of the journey. The
tour boat will arrive Fengdu at 15:00 p.m. Tourists
go to the Ghost City by bus. (Fengdu lies in the
northern bank of Yangtse River, and is one of
the "thirty-six wonderful caves, seventy-two
lucky places". There are twenty-seven old
temples. The statue group in the "hell"
is similar to the lawsuit, court, prison, and
cruel torture on earth.) After the visit, tourists
return back to the boat that goes on to sail at
18:00. Tourists enjoy the greeting party held
by the captain at 19:00. After the party, tourists
communicate with each other freely, and enjoy
the free-ball if they want.

D2:After
breakfast at 7:00, tourists enjoy the beautiful
scene of the Qutang Gorge and the Wu Gorge on
the boat's platform for lookout. (The eight-kilometer-long
Qutang Gorge is also called as "Kui Gorge",
which is from Baidi City to the Dai Stream in
Wu moutain. It is well known as "magnificence".
On the southern bank there are many scenes such
as "the Cliff of Steles in Qutang Gorge",
"the Ladder of Mengliang", "the
Phoenix Spring", and "the Peak of Rhinoceros
Looking at the Moon". On the northern bank
there are many surprising scenes such as "the
Seven Doors", "the Bellows Gorge",
and "the Plank Road along the Face of the
Cliff". The
¡úYinwozi
forty-four-kilometer-long Wu Gorge is from the
mouth of the Daning River in Wushan County in
Chongqing to the mouth of the Guandu River in
Badong County in Hubei province. There are the
well-known Twelve Mounts of Wu Mountain among
which the most famous and prettiest one is "the
Goddess Mount".) At 9:30 a.m, the tour boat
arrives at Badong Harbor, and tourists go to Shenlong
Stream either by the air-conditioned bus or by
small boats. (The Shenlong Stream is originated
from Shenlongjia in Hubei Province. The section
for drifting is about twenty kilometers long,
and is made up of the Parrot Gorge and the Dragon-boat
Gorge. It is very exciting for tourists to drift
fast by the manpower-controlled wooden small boats
whose name is " Wandoujiao". Tourists
can see the old plank roads built along the face
of cliff, the Seven-color Spring, precious animals
such as golden monkeys and the mandarin ducks,
and can also experience the traditional customs
of the Tujia nationality.) After the visit, tourists
have lunch, and the boat goes on to sail. Later,
tourists enjoy the beautiful scene of the Xiling
Gorge (the seventy-six-kilometer-long Xiling Gorge
is from the mouth of the Xiang Stream to the Nanjin
Pass. There are the Bingshu'Baojian Gorge, the
Niuganmafei Gorge, and "the Dengying Gorge"
on the southern bank and so on.)
At 16:00 p.m., the tour boat arrive at Maoping
Harbor, tourists go to the construction site of
the Great Three-Gorge Dam by the air-conditioned
bus. (The Dam is situated in Sandouping in the
middle section of the Xiling Gorge. The project
includes the body of the dam, the power plant,
the scouring and flood-relief sluice, a two-way
and five-step ship lock, and a two-way and one-step
machine for raising boats. The whole project will
cost 2300 hundred million yuan. The main purpose
is to control flood, generate electricity, improve
shipping conditions, and send water from the south
to the north. After completion, the body of the
dam will be 2335 meters long, and the top and
the bottom are respectively 18 meters and 130
meters wide. The face of the Yangtse River will
be 175 meters above the sea level.) At 19:00 at
night, tourists enjoy the farewell party held
by the captain. After the party, tourists and
the crew hold a party together at 20:00.
D3:
At 10:00 the tour boat goes through the shipping
lock of the Gezhou Dam, and then sail out of the
Xiling Gorge at Nanjin Pass. The three-hundred-mile
journey is to end. The vast plain makes sight
suddenly enlightened, and looking the sky as far
as the eye can is another kind of delight. Tourists
can listen to the guide and know more historic
stories about the Three-nation and Bayu culture
and places of historic interest and scenic beauty.
They can also enjoy the far-away Chibi. At 15:00
p.m., the tour boat arrives at Shashi Harbor,
and tourists take by the air-conditioned bus.

cupboard and luggage rack and so on. Generally,
the area is 10-17 square meters.

There are larger beds and more furniture than
in Standard room. Especially, there is a small
bar. The sanitary equipment is better. It is luxuriously
